Quick Build, Clear-Span Steel Building System

We provide engineered concrete & building drawings with your cold-form building to plan for building installation.

Depending on the size of your new steel building, you can opt to assemble it yourself (with a few friends) and the use of a tele-handler, or you can use your stamped drawings to hire an erecting company in your area.

We do not offer building installation services, however in certain locations, can refer you to an erecting crew in our network.

Typically, you will need a 4” single-pour thickened edge foundation to install your Cold-Form building. 

The required foundation thickness will depend on the type of building, climate, and soil conditions. 

You may also be able to install via a concrete pier system (one footer per column), or base girt option, which combines a concrete perimeter and footings. Final foundation requirements are to be determined by your engineered concrete drawings. 

Stamped concrete, engineered building drawings, and anchor bolt package are included with your Kodiak Cold-Form building, which will provide all the information necessary to obtain permits and plan for the foundation.

Unlike wood that can shift, warp, and rot – our Cold-Form Steel Buildings will not crack, expand, or corrode. 

Fire, mold, and pest-resistant, they are also energy-efficient and require little-to-no maintenance reducing the overall life-cycle cost of your building as they do not have to be replaced as often. 

Cold-Formed buildings feature a custom manufactured galvanized steel frame – which resists moisture and works well in high-heat/humidity locations, as it will not rust, corrode, or expand when exposed to heat. Engineered for your location to withstand all local seismic loads and weather conditions. 

Our Cold-Form building system includes 26G (or 24G) PBR roof & wall panels, backed with a 25 year warranty on the panel paint, ensuring your building looks like new year after year. (40 year warranty also available).

As an added benefit – Kodiak steel buildings are also virtually 100% recyclable and create no waste from the manufacturing process through to the removal of your building. This helps conserve natural resources and reduce environmental impact, while lasting longer than conventional building products. 

Formed by machine, Cold-Form buildings are durable and offer the fastest lead times.

Benefit from a high-speed production process – Cold-formed steel is made from structural quality sheet steel formed into C-section and other shapes by roll-forming the steel through a series of dies. This is done by machine and no heat is required to form the shapes (unlike hot-rolled/red iron steel), hence the name cold-form steel .

Custom manufactured and precision-crafted in plants across North America, all Kodiak cold-form building components are manufactured under quality standard CAN/CSA-A660 in IAS AC472 in accredited facilities to ensure conformance to standards referenced in building codes.

Welding standards are in accordance with CSA Standard W59-03 Welded Steel Construction and American Standard – AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel.

We adhere to intensive, ongoing quality and inspection programs to ensure a precision fit on site which results in less delays, and a faster overall turnaround time.

Every Cold-Form building system is custom manufactured to design and location and comes with all components & drawings to get your new steel building up quickly and easily.

Shipped directly to site, your complete Cold-Form building system includes: custom galvanized steel frame (12G/14G), 26G steel (PBR) roof & wall panels, color-matching fasteners.

Stamped concrete & building drawings are included for permits, slab, erecting, and interior planning. Anchor bolt plans and bolts are also included with your Cold-Form building.
